Collection: Civil War Map Collection
Step back into American history with our Civil War Map Collection.
Each map is a high-resolution reproduction of original battlefield surveys, troop position charts, engineering sketches, and strategic military maps created between 1861 and 1865. These extraordinary documents were produced by Union and Confederate cartographers to record movements, fortifications, rivers, towns, and vital geography that shaped the outcome of the war.
We preserve every authentic detail — including fold lines, ink marks, handwritten notes, and age-worn imperfections — exactly as they appear in the Library of Congress archives. Nothing is digitally altered or restored.
Every map in this collection is printed at 24 inches on its longest side, with the other dimension scaled proportionally to show the full image uncropped and ready to frame.
Perfect for
• Civil War historians and collectors
• Battlefield visitors and reenactors
• Teachers, classrooms, and genealogy researchers
• Museums, libraries, and local history enthusiasts
