Wonderful customer service. The map is printed on thick, glossy paper and was wrapped and shipped with the utmost care. I will be ordering more maps soon!
Great print of a 1920 Eureka, CA map showing my home back then before it was moved to its current location. Very informative as the level of detail shows details of orientation on the lot and out buildings that I otherwise would never have guessed. A great historical reference. Thanks.
Matthews was a gas boon town with its large population in 1904. It was planned by the railroad and then the gas boom hit, and all the factories moved in. The quality of the maps is excellent and with fast shipping. My family has lived in the area since 1821, so it is nice to see what once was on maps.
Beautiful print! My son works at Battery Park, and this gives a historical perspective on the park in 1870. His great grandfather also arrived from Sweden through Castle Garden, and so it is representative of his present environment and his family’s history. A meaningful gift!
Very nice quality. Exceptional customer service. Went above and beyond. Thank you
This was not the map I was actually looking for but rather just a map cover sheet. It was an extremely high quality print nonetheless. The seller generously offered to refund my purchase price due the content misunderstanding which was quite generous.
Beautifully printed and super fast shipping! We love it, thank you so much!
Excellent customer service after I made a purchase mistake. Great packing, fast shipping and wonderful quality!
It is a work of art as well as a font of historical informantion.I used Sanborns Fire Insurance Maps when i was trying to determine the hazard that historical activities at a property posed to surrounding properties or a potential buyer of a property.
In my case I am trying to see if my paternal grandfather worked for Waters Pierce Oil Company (WPOC) while he lived in Eagle Pass, Texas in the 1920s. Copilot said no WPOC facility existed in Eagle Pass, The SFIM clearly indicated that a WPOC facility was next to a Texaco facility adjacent to the railroad tracks in Eagle Pass in 1924.
Map was great, but as is often the case in historical research it raised new questions! And so the search continues and it’s fun!!
The maps are a great piece of history of our community when it was very young. They will be on display when our History Assoc is at events. Can't wait to hear the conversations.
